We Are Palermo Realty

We began as a small remodeling company, and have expanded to one of Erie’s top housing firms. In the mid 70’s the company began to purchase and renovate Erie’s downtown buildings, incorporating then west-coast building designs to Erie’s metropolitan area. In 1978 Joe Palermo Jr. started building single family homes. Ever-evolving and moving forward, we then began luxury town homes in 1985 with “Cedar Loft Apartments”. Then, Palermo Realty changed the Erie housing market by introducing the Patio Home concept with “Scenery Hills Patio Homes” in 1989.

In the mid 90’s Palermo Realty re-upped its commitment to Erie by purchasing and renovating properties in the then-troubled area on the west side. In 2013 we completed work on a split development called “Pine Valley Apartments” that is composed of half Signature Palermo Townhouses, and half luxury garden style apartments.

Palermo Realty offers diverse quality housing options for families, students, professionals, and more – most recently the 2018 Copperleaf Development on Edinboro Road, providing something special for nearly everyone.

We are also the only local developer that has a lease-purchase program for qualified buyers on new construction homes, offering low down payments and affordable payments as an alternative to bank financing.
